I have removed my [easyazon_link identifier=”1782176071″ locale=”US” tag=”wn0d5-20″] Hyper-V [/easyazon_link] feature from my [easyazon_link identifier=”0735697965″ locale=”US” tag=”wn0d5-20″] Windows 10 [/easyazon_link] box and at the same time I have lost my Remote Server Administration tools for Windows 10 that I am using to manage my [easyazon_link identifier=”178439307X” locale=”US” tag=”wn0d5-20″] Windows Server 2012 R2 [/easyazon_link] boxes. I simply went to grab and download the installation file again for RSAT , tried to install it and I got error message:
Windows Update Standalone Installer, Installer encountered an error: 0x80070422 ..”
Resolution is very simple:
- Go to RUN and type services.msc
- Once Services window opens, scroll down and locate Windows Update
- Make sure it is ENABLED and STARTED
- Once the service is up and running, try reinstall the RSAT tool
Once the Windows Update service is back and running, you will be able to reinstall the RSAT for [easyazon_link identifier=”0735697965″ locale=”US” tag=”wn0d5-20″] Windows 10 [/easyazon_link] tools on your Windows machine.
