How to see who accessed or is connected to your Facebook

Facebook has new features now available for few months. These new features allow you to see from where you are or were connected to your Facebook as well as you can setup alert so you get email or SMS message if someone is trying to access your account from unrecognized device. These are  nice features and  should be configured right after you have configured access to your Facebook only over https.

How can you setup this:

  • Log on to your account
  • Click on Account Settings
  • Click on Security
  • Click on Secure Browsing and make sure you check out box next to “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possible
  • Save changes
  • Click on Login Notification
  • Click check out box so you can get notify by email if your account is accessed from device you never used before
  • Save changes

Now when you will try to login to your Facebook account you will be prompt to enter name for the device from which you are trying to connect to your Facebook. This will create a log and track this location.

You can now see the log  from where you have connected or you are accessing t your Facebook by going to Account Settings > Security > Active Sessions.
