I have purchased few ebooks and these books came in 2 electronic formats: ePub and PDF. Both of them are great since I have Kobo eBook reader that takes both formats as well as I like PDF so I can read on laptop or other devices. From time I am sharing my eBook reader with my wife so I got idea to buy second eBook reader [easyazon-link asin=”B005890FN0″ locale=”us”]Kindle Touch[/easyazon-link]. This device is also great for reading books and of course gives me access to different set of eBooks. Unfortunately [easyazon-link asin=”B005890FN0″ locale=”us”]Kindle Touch[/easyazon-link] uses different format for its eBooks – Mobi. Since I have plenty eBooks in ePub format I was looking for some sort of convertor from ePub to Mobi. Something very simple and I have found this small and great, Free utility – http://www.epubtomobi.com/
It is very simple to use:
- Open the software
- Press CTRL+O and browse to folder where you have ePub eBooks and select all
- They will be added into console
- Press CTRL+E – select Output folder
- It will batch process all those ePub selected books and convert them into Mobi format
- It simple, Free and it works !
Both EPUB and MOBI are very popular e-book format. The EPUB is a free open standard, one EPUB file internal use XHTML or DTBook (a by DAISY Consortium’s XML standard) to show the text. And the Amazon Kindle has been very popular today, the Kindle use the MOBI format, so if you are a Kindle user and have a lot of EPUB books, you should need this small software.
